The sacral area of the body is the seat of one's self. It is the center of ourselves that harnesses sensuality, sexuality, creation, joy, creativity, desire and pleasure. It is what we hope to connect you with through your experience with us! Being fully expressed from that space, is the state we want to capture in a photograph in order for you to see yourself and how beautiful, powerful and sensual you are!!
The meaning of boudoir is basically a beautifully decorated room for a woman to dress and rest. This has become the word to call this particular type of photography because, cleverly, it would be pictures of a woman in her changing room naked or in her under garments. At Sacral Boudoir, we want to capture you in your literal changing room (vulnerable and unclothed and just being with yourself for a moment in time) but we also believe it's even deeper than that. We believe that this type of photography has the potential to be a "changing room" for you on an entirely different level! It is capturing the process of your change, transfoming you along the way- coming in the door and leaving in a different (a changed) space within yourself.
Photography means to paint with light... Need it be explained from our viewpoint?! Seriously, can we be any more clear about how we see and treat women, our sisters, here at Sacral Boudoir- the love that we plan to pour upon you, the light we will shine all over you in order to capture (paint) this experience?! Talk about the literal being one meaning, but on an energetic level ooohhhh what this word means for us here!!!

I'm Jana! Thank you for coming here, to Sacral Boudoir, my sisters. Thanks for taking interest and a few minutes to read about me! Thank you for sharing your time! I really (reeaaaaallllyyy) hope to meet you and to walk with you through a boudoir ceremony. I would be so honored to share that space with you and to capture the truth of your beauty......
I am an extremely passionate individual full of all sorts of "out there ideas" and a SERIOUS love and drive to bring women back home to the truth of themselves!! I mean I eat. that. shit. up!!! breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, midnight soup binges (just ask my hubby, he'll confirm those) dessert, like cannot get enough. I can't help it, it's just my nature. On all levels, I want to help women clear the stories, the patterns, the coping mechanisms, the limitations and connect with the truth of themselves in order to live the most liberated and authentic life they deserve. The ceremony of boudoir offers the container to do such an important piece of that work on a very specific level. The vulnerable, naked skin of yours that wants to be fully claimed and celebrated in all of it's femininity, gets to be seen through my lens!! I get to show you how magical you are and hold space for you while you reclaim that sensuality. I will coach you through the whole process with different things such as breathing, posing, connecting deep within, releasing judgements and hesitations, embracing, owning and ROCKING yourself to the end.. And if you already own this part of you, bring that badass self of yours on over so we can celebrate and create art together!
Every woman has the world of opinions, ideas, expectations, struggles (and the list goes on and on and on) somewhere in their history or running through their minds about their bodies and what "should" and "shouldn't" be. Ask my kids (or husband, friends, extended family) WE DON'T DO "SHOULDS" around me- so we're gonna bust through all those lies.. Because honestly, the shittiest part about all of those shoulds with our bodies, is that there is no actual standard! If you're "too skinny", you're judged. If you're "too heavy", you're judged. If you're "too tall", "too short", "small bootied", "big chested", brown hair, blonde hair, etc etc etc. SOMEONE has an opinion about SOMETHING! It's fucking exhausting! I have had my own, seriously weighted, fair share of self hatred over everything that my body couldn't always be at the same freaking time! Now, 4 babies in, well into adulthood and knowing I only get THIS body, I choose to honor it! and if the voices start to creep in, I get to remind myself through my experience with you, of the truth once again. You ladies give me full permission, even deeper and deeper, to fully embrace myself everytime I have the privilege of sharing this space with you, and for that I am eternally grateful..... So if you have those voices, let's shut them up together!! Let's rise up on every level! Let's go inward and find our true feminine essence and embrace it! Let's celebrate the skin we're in!! Walk with me sister, let's capture and reveal what lies within!!! It's all about how you FEEL!
